Tecno launches Camon 20 series in India starting at Rs 14,999

NEW DELHI: Tecno has launched the new Camon 20 smartphone series in India starting at a price of 14,999.

The Tecno Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro smartphones will be available soon for purchase, however, Camon 20 Premier 5G is expected to arrive in June.

The Tecno Camon 20 smartphone has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, is priced Rs 14,999, and is available for purchase on Amazon website from May 29. The smartphone comes in three color options; Glacier Glow, Serenity Blue, and Predawn Black.

The Camon 20 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen and 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone comes with 64MP triple camera setup, and a 32MP selfie camera. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and draws power from a 5000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging.

The Camon 20 Pro 5G smartphone will be available in two variants, 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, priced at Rs 19,999 and 256GB internal storage, which costs Rs 21,999. The sale of this smartphone will begin in June.

The Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, with 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come with a 32MP front camera with a 50MP OIS main camera. It will come in two color options; Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin.

The Camon 20 Pro 5G smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip. It packs a 5000mAh battery which supports 45W fast charging.

The Camon 20 Premier smartphone will also feature 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 32MP front camera. It packs 50MP back camera,

The Tecno Camon 20 Premier be available with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset, the device packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It will be available in two color options; Dark Welkin and Serenity Blue.

Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro 5G and 20 Pro Premier debut in India

The Camon 20 Premier will be available in Dark Welkin and Serenity Blue colors in a single version with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It will be available from the third week of June, but pricing is yet to be confirmed.

The Camon 20 comes in Glacier Glow, Serenity Blue, and Predawn Black colors with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will be available from tomorrow, May 29 for INR14,999 ($181).

The Camon 20 Pro 5G is offered in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin shades and is the only one to come in two versions. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is INR19,999 ($242), while double the storage rises the price to INR21,999 ($266). Sales of this one will begin in the second week of June

The Camon 20 Premier 5G packs an interesting camera configuration with a 50MP RGBW main camera with 23mm f/1.8 lens and sensor-shift OIS. Then there's the 108MP 13mm f/2.2 ultrawide camera with autofocus and macro abilities. At the front there is a 32MP f/2.4 fixed-focus selfie camera.

Tecno opted for the new MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip for the Camon 20 Premier 5G. Upfront, there's a 6.67-inch 2400x1080px AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate and a built-in fingerprint scanner. Underneath is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support. 

The Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro 5G have similar specs with notable differences in the chipset and camera departments. The Camon 20 is powered by the Helio G85 SoC and sports a 64MP primary camera on the rear joined by 2MP depth and QVGA units, whereas the Camon 20 Pro 5G has the Dimensity 8050 chip at the helm with the triple camera setup on the rear comprising 64MP primary (with OIS), 2MP macro, and 2MP depth cameras.
